Let’s be ICONic! Welcome to the Neighbourhood(s) – 8 Distinct Areas of Fun and Sun, The Ultimate Family Holiday

Icon Of The Seas is officially here! The newest class of ship from Royal Caribbean, the Icon Class is ready to set sail from January 2024.

This is the ULTIMATE family holiday, an absolute family paradise. The ship will be made up of 8 neighbourhoods, similar to the Oasis Class concept. The eight neighbourhoods consist of firm favourites such as Central Park, which has been completely revolutionised and the AquaDome, which is a spin on the much-loved AquaTheatre available on Oasis Class Ships. The Royal Promenade will also feature on Icon Of The Seas, where guests will embark the ship through ‘The Pearl.’ Information about the Pearl are set to be released in coming weeks; however, we are expecting big things!

The new neighborhoods on Icon have the perfect mix of relaxation and family fun. These neighbourhoods are Chill Island, which is named after the relaxing haven of Chill Island on Perfect Day At CocoCay. Thrill Island, has the largest water park at sea and is set to be a firm favourite and it really isn’t hard to see why! This neighborhood is completely spectacular, boasting 6 waterslides, designed to be a delight for all ages. In Thrill Island you will find the Frightening Bolt – the tallest waterslide at sea. Storm Chasers – The first mat racing duo at sea and The Storm Surge & Hurricane Hunter – which is the first family raft slides at sea.

Neighbourhoods:

Thrill Island: The lost island adventure is home to the highlights like Category 6, the largest waterpark at sea. This has six record breaking slides: Pressure Drop and its 66-degree incline making it the industry’s first open free-fall slide; the 46-foot-tall Frightening Bolt, the tallest drop slide at sea; Storm Surge and Hurricane Hunter, the first family raft slides at sea with four riders per raft; and Storm Chasers, cruising’s first mat-racing duo. Living on the edge takes new meaning with Crown’s Edge. Part skywalk, part ropes course and part thrill ride, it culminates in a surprising, shocking moment that will see travellers swing 154 feet above the ocean.

Chill Island: Paradise has been expanded from Perfect Day At CocoCay to Chill Island on board Icon Of The Seas. Among the seven pools on board, four are in this three-deck paradise. From the cruiselines very first swim up bar, Swim & Tonic, to the Royal Bay Pool which is the largest pool at sea and Cloud 17, an adults only retreat, this neighborhood is one not to miss!

AquaDome: Perched at the top of Icon, the AquaDome is set to be a tranquil oasis by day, where guests can experience panoramic ocean views and an awe-inspiring waterfall as they enjoy a bite to eat. The vibrancy explodes by night, complete with restaurants, bars and the revolutionised AquaTheater performance.

Surfside: Introducing a neighborhood made for young families from end to end, where adults and kids ages six and under will want to stay and play all day. Grownups can soak up the endless views at Water’s Edge pool, as they keep an eye on the kids at Splashaway Bay and Baby Bay. Only steps away are dining options, places to lounge, a bar, the signature carousel, an arcade, Adventure Ocean, and Social020 for teens.

The Hideaway: Perfectly nestled away 135 feet above the ocean, the hideaway combines the immaculate vibes from Las Vegas beach clubs with the serenity of the ocean views that only a cruise can offer. The first suspended infinity pool at sea is at the centre but this neighbourhood is also surrounded by a multilevel sun terrace with whirlpools and a dedicated bar.

The Royal Promenade: A grander Royal Promenade features its first floor-to-ceiling ocean views, plus more than 15 restaurants, cafes, bars and lounges.

Central Park: The firm favourite from the Oasis Class, Central Park has more ways to dine and be entertained on board Icon Of The Seas. At the moment we have very limited information about the Central Park but we are expecting this soon.

Suite Neighbourhood: The Suite Neighbourhood is three decks of luxury, offering a multilevel suite sun deck – The Grove – that has a private pool, whirlpool and dining, and a two-story Coastal Kitchen.

We are so excited about this ship and can’t wait to share more information as we get it. We have been promised that we will be fed further information about entertainment, dining (over 40 options on board!) and more revelations over the coming months.

Cruise 365 loves…
‘Perfect Day at CocoCay there is a new Sheriff in town…her name is Icon Of The Seas’
The team love the concept of Icon and think she is an extended version of Royal Caribbean’s Private Island Perfect Day at CocoCay. The vibrant fun aspect of the ship, in our opinion is going to make the perfect multigenerational family holiday and we are so here for it.

We also love how Icon is going to have 28 cabin categories to choose from. 14 of which are BRAND NEW. This includes accommodation that can accommodate three, four or five people. These accommodations include the Family Infinite Balcony, Surfside Family Suite and the three-story Ultimate Family Townhouse.

Also we love how the huge new ship will be Royal Caribbean’s first to be powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG), the cleanest-burning marine fuel.

In other words, we love it all.

Icon of The Seas goes on sale to the general public from 10am on Tuesday 25th October, however if you are a Crown&Anchor member, you will have exclusive access to the sale on Monday 24th October.

If you are as excited as us about this ICONIC ship, give us a call from Tuesday (or Monday if you have a C&A status) on 01388 767 222.
